I've been a member of NSSC for over 15 years, and have been a lifetime lover of squash! My experience in squash involves playing competitively (and occasionally for fun), representing NZ in Masters being a highlight. Feel free to contact me on 021932638 or email admin@northshoresquash.co.nz

I Joined NSSC in late July 2019 as Bar & Functions Manager. My favourite thing about the club would be the friendly vibe that we have buzzing around. I always make a point of introducing new members to our fellow members, who always make me proud of how welcoming they are! My goal is to see the club continue growing and thriving is to provide an increase in daily and corporate functions that we host. I am hopeful that a few visual & décor additions on the deck would attract those summer weddings with a gorgeous view of the lake on Auckland’s finest summer days.

My family have been members at NSSC since 2011 and I have been a member of the NSSC Committee for the last 2 years. Our family is part of the North Shore's large community of ex-South Africans, having immigrated to New Zealand in 2001 with my partner Richard and our children Dale and Tessa.
After 25 years in leadership roles in the corporate environment, I recently started my own small Business Coaching consultancy. As a current member of the board of Squash NZ, I am keen to hear your squash stories. Feel free to stop me and talk to me courtside, or if you have pressing club issues that you want to be addressed, email me at cheryl@thegc.co. See you court side.

Club Treasurer
I have been playing squash since I was 12 so it will be 45 years this year. I believe NSSC is the best club in NZ. It has the most amazing facilities, great views and position and awesome people which makes for a superb club culture. I've been with the club for about 19 years and started doing the accounts as Treasurer back in about 2011/2012. For the future, I think we need to keep evolving and investigating ways to attract good quality people, not only as players and gym members but also on the social side using the amazing facilities (courts, bar and functions) so we maintain a great balance, amazing culture. It’s an honour to be a NSSC member

I have been a Member of the NSSC since 1995. I have served as a committee member, President, and I am a current Life Member. I have run Junior Squash for several years and became an enthusiastic master’s player who is always proud to wear the NSSC logo. I negotiated with the WDHB to build the Gymnasium for the free benefit of NSSC members. I headed the committee entrusted with organising the 50-year anniversary of the NSSC. I am very keen that the club continues to recognise the legacy left by past members through continuing to expand our offerings to members to grow our base.

I moved to Auckland from Kapiti 12 years ago and came to the NSSC to meet some people as well as keep fit. I was made to feel welcome by a few club ‘legends’ straight away so I knew this was the place for me.
Since then many members have become good friends. The location, kitchen, bar and deck make this club an attractive venue for squash and community groups.
I am a photographer by trade and take pleasure in capturing the tournament action and prize giving to promote the club.
When I’m not on the squash court playing squash or racketball, I like to play football, mountain bike and spend time with my family and friends in Castor Bay.

I started playing squash in my college days in Pakistan. In a cricket dominated society I loved the game of squash and it became my main sport. I migrated to Australia in 1997 for studies where I participated in inter universities squash competition. I continued playing from Beachaven squash club in 2006 and 2007.
I started playing again when I joined North Shore Squash Club in 2019. I love the culture and community here. In 2020 the club presented me an opportunity to participate at the National D Grade championship in Blenheim. I also won the most improved squash male player award this year.
North Shore Squash Club is a great place to play sport, meet friendly people, socialize, and grow your squash skills. It is time to give back to this amazing club and contribute in any way I can, it is my objective to contribute to making the club a conducive place to learn and play squash. I would like to work with young players to further their squash skills. I am learning the general business of how the club is being run and actively looking for avenues where I can contribute.
